Herbs and spices next to actual ingredients are essential addition for delicious dishes. They do not only refine the taste, but can also influence the colour of the dish und can be used as a decoration.

 

Compared to the Middle Ages, when the spices were very expensive and economically important (there was time – the pepper was made up for gold), today they are affordable for everyone and can be easily cultivated in a herb garden.
