Day 1: Welcome to the March
After your arrival at Vecchio Gelso you experience the welcome meal set up buffet style. Sample for the first time regional delicacies and let yourself get in the mood for the next days' s agenda during introduction and presentation.
Day 2: Precious wines
Following breakfast you will not watch the Patrone but you debut in learning to know the Italian kitchen finesse jointly. The afternoon is devoted to the noble sun-blessed Italian wines. At Azienda Agricola “Le Caniette” in Ripatransone you do not only get the opportunity for a wine tasting, also you may get involved in the grape harvest during the September - October time frame.
Day 3: Rightly receiving rave reviews - Italian cheese and sausage specialties
Following breakfast visit Azienda Agricola „Rossi“ in Moresco, where you can view the production of delicate cheese- and sausage specialties. Naturally you are again tasting and enjoying. In the afternoon our culinary class continues with preparing the evening meal.
Day 4: The chefs' little secrets - herbs
After breakfast we drive to Petrioli where we visit Azienda Agricola „La Scentella“. Together with the „Godfather of herbs“ Prof. Roberto Ferretti we go on a naturally-grown-herbage foray, which will then refine our lunch at the Azienda. Following our return to Vecchio Gelso our culinary course find it's next peak, this time with particular herbal meals.
Day 5: The gourmets' diamond - truffles
After breakfast we visit Azienda Agricola "Ramuse" in the middle of the truffle region, where Paolo awaits us with his dog. Together we will now go to find the precious truffles hidden in their woods. Afterwards we have an exquisite luncheon on truffle basis. We return to Vecchio Gelso where the cooking lesson is, of course devoted to the Queen of mushrooms that we prepare for an outstanding evening meal.
Day 6.: Liquid gold - olive oils and wines
Today we wrap around the cooking apron to create a lunch. In the afternoon we visit an oil-mill, and will use this opportunity for an extensive oil-tasting during which we learn a lot about the olive as such and its oils. In the October - November time frame there is also the possibility of taking part in the olive harvest. Adjacent we visit Azienda Agricola „Sgaly“, where we taste the organically cultivated, premium wines, before we return to our domicile for the evening meal.
Day 7: Relax, stroll, discover... as you please
After breakfast the day is all yours. You may for example buy or order regional specialties that are almost impossible or hard to get at home, for your kitchen or cellar. At the farewell evening at Vecchio Gelso you will be handed a certificate for completion of the culinary course along with all recipes, in festive ambiance.
Day 8: Arrividerci - Good bye!
After breakfast it is unfortunately time to say good bye to an unforgettable experience in a wonderful surrounding.
